Mail Clerk Job Description:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Mail Clerk to manage and streamline the flow of mail within our large corporate office. This individual will be responsible for screening, sorting, and distributing incoming and outgoing mail, as well as providing general corporate office support. The ideal candidate will ensure efficient mail operations and support the administrative needs of the organization.

Key Information:
  • Monday – Friday, 40 hours per week
  • First Shift, 8:00am to 5:00pm
  • Pay rate is $17.00 to $19.00 per hour
  • Benefits including Medical, Dental, Vision, 401k, and Paid Time Off
  • Location: Clayton, MO
Ideal Experience for the Mail Clerk Position:
  • Professional experience with companies such as FedEx, UPS, United States Postal Service (USPS) or similar organizations that handle mail/parcel deliveries
  • Experience in handling and/or sorting mail and packages
  • Corporate mail room experience
Key Responsibilities of the Mail Clerk:
  • Sort incoming mail to prepare for scanning
  • Scan physical mail into digital form
  • Check incoming packages in and out via a shipment tracking app
  • Process outgoing shipments and mail
  • Conduct multiple daily walkthroughs of our 3 floors in the building to maintain amenities stocking, straighten conference rooms, and re-stock print stations
  • Cross-train to have knowledge of Reception responsibilities in order to cover when needed
  • Assist with conference room setups when needed (must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.)
  • Assist with print production process (lamination, cutting, etc.)
  • Assist colleagues with various requests in the mailroom
Requirements:
  • Ability to lift and carry mail and packages up to [weight limit, e.g., 50 pounds].
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Ability to work independently and reliably.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
